The LIA Library is a library media center within our school campus where students, staff, and parents have access to a variety of resources. The purpose of the school library media center is to ensure that all members of the school community have equitable access to books and reading, to information, and to information technology. Researchers have demonstrated that school libraries have a positive impact on student achievement. We invite you to visit your library. Library Hours Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Our Library has a collection of over 7,000 titles organized by Dewey Decimal Classification System, a growing list of periodicals, a collection of DVDs, videotapes, and audio CDs, we also provide students with access to more than 20 online databases. Click ONLINE RESOURCES to see our recommendations. Please stop by your library and browse the collections. I think you will find getting lost in a book may be the first step to finding yourself. Our library is pleased to offer 1172 new books to support the teaching and learning process including the following areas: mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, geography, history, psychology, economics, sports and recreation, religion and reference books (dictionaries & encyclopedias). The books are available to library users: students, faculty, and parents. Resources Teacher Resources Center. (organized by subject and grade level). Audiovisual materials. 8 networked computers. Online Data bases. Remember you can access the database from school and from home. Just ask the Librarian how to do it. |
